BuitenLand has extraordinary holiday homes. Exceptionally cosy, each one unique and beautifully designed. And the same goes for the people on the estate. If you do happen to get bored, there is always something to do. From children's courses to sandy beaches. From lively parties to glowing concerts. From self-development to group walks. From campfires to ice baths. But freedom comes first. We try to find a nice balance between entertainment and relaxation. In doing so, we naturally do our utmost to operate in harmony with nature as much as possible.

Art at BuitenLand
Discover the best activities at our campsite abroad
A roadside assistance pole in the forest, a swimming ring around a tree trunk, a mural, an exhibition in the empty swimming pool, an actor rehearsing her character, a place to sleep in a yellow feed bin, a piano among the ferns in the forest. At BuitenLand, art has many faces. We experiment, try things out and marvel at the world we live in, but above all at ourselves.
Creative development space for theatre makers
In the spring, theatre company Gajus settled down at BuitenLand to rehearse the prediction ‘We are all astronauts’. For a week, they practised talking, thinking and trying things out. In the middle of the BuitenBar, the sewing machine stood on the table and the finishing touches were put on the costumes. Staff and guests were enlisted to help, and at the end of the week, all guests were treated to an overwhelming try-out during King's Day.

Bellenblazen
BuitenLand maakt graag ruimte voor creatieve geesten. Zo heeft onze huiskunstenaar Christiaan Schuinder samen met zijn vrienden van Nebulist op BuitenLand een bellenblaasmachine ontwikkeld die enorme bellen vol rook blaast. Het is een knap staaltje vakmanschap waarin alle bellenblaas kennis van over de hele wereld samenkomt in een machine die je meevoert naar een soort buitenaardse Alice in Wonderland-ervaring.
Hier op de foto zijn Christiaan en Alex vol onderwerg naar een festival om hun met hun kunststuk te pronken.
De oprichters
In 2017 bundelden Tjitte, Floortje, Martijn, Wessel en Esther hun krachten en begonnen aan het avontuur genaamd BuitenLand. Ze ontdekten een overwoekerd kampeerterrein in Drenthe, verscholen tussen een bos en een natuurlijk zwemmeertje. Hun gedeelde droom was duidelijk: een plek creëren die nooit af zal zijn en altijd in ontwikkeling blijft.
Voor de eigenaren is BuitenLand meer dan bedrijf; het is een speeltuin voor volwassenen waar zij al hun creativiteit in kwijt kunnen. Een plek die ze mooier en rijker willen achterlaten voor de volgende generatie. Een plek die mensen inspireerd, waar jezelf kan zijn, of jezelf kan worden. Een plek zonder oordeel, waar eerder vragen gesteld worden dan antwoorden gegeven. Een plek waar schoonheid veelvormig is en met een grote liefde voor de kunsten in al haar verschijningsvormen.
