BuitenLand Rules 2025

General

All campers and visitors to BuitenLand are expected to be familiar with and agree to the camping rules and the Recron terms and conditions.

  • The management of BuitenLand reserves the right to refuse access to the campsite to any person or group without giving reasons.
  • At least one person in each booking must be 21 or older. The main booker is responsible for the entire group.
  • In the event of misconduct by one person in a group, BuitenLand is free to ask the entire group to leave prematurely, without refund.
  • BuitenLand is in no way liable for damage, accidents or theft.
  • Party tents are not permitted, not even as awnings.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash on the premises, dog waste must be cleaned up and the bags disposed of properly.

Arrival and departure

  • It is not permitted to transfer the booking to third parties without consultation. It is also not permitted to offer (part of) the booking through commercial channels.
  • Each main booker is required to report to reception upon arrival.
  • Due to circumstances, it may happen that the preferred location is not available for whatever reason and you will be placed elsewhere.

Payment

  • The full amount of the booking must be paid before arrival at BuitenLand. 
  • No refunds will be given for accommodation costs in the event of early departure.
  • If, upon inspection, it is found that the booking has not been honoured, administration costs plus any outstanding costs will be charged.

Cancellation

  • In the event of cancellation of the stay by the visitor, for whatever reason, the conditions of Recron apply. 

          As follows: 

  1. Cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the stay, 85% refund of the costs.
  2. Cancellation within 3 to 2 months before the start of the stay, 50% refund of the costs.
  3. Cancellation within 1 to 2 months before the start of the stay, 25% refund of the costs.
  4. Cancellation within one month before the start of the stay, 10% refund.
  5. Cancellation on the day of the start date will not be refunded. 

An administration fee of €15 will be charged for all cancellations. 

  • The booking can only be transferred to third parties in consultation with and with the approval of BuitenLand. Proposed by the person who made the booking or by BuitenLand.
  • We advise EVERY visitor to take out cancellation or travel insurance.
  • BuitenLand is always willing to send proof of cancellation for insurance purposes.

Cars, fat bikes, scooters, etc. at the campsite

  • BuitenLand is a car-free campsite. Only drive on the grounds when arriving and departing. 
  • It is not permitted to leave your car at your camping spot or cottage.
  • Always park in one of the two car parks or on the right-hand side of the access road (as seen from the campsite).
  • Parking on the left-hand side of the access road (as seen from the campsite) and on the Stieltjeskanaal is prohibited. Vehicles parked here will be towed away.
  • The speed limit is 5 km per hour.
  • Fat bikes and scooters are only permitted on the grounds if they do not exceed 5 km per hour.
  • Cycling, scootering, mopeding, etc. on the terrace is not permitted.

Peace and unrest

  • Audio devices are only permitted at a volume that does not disturb other visitors. After 11 p.m., they are not permitted at all.
  • BuitenLand reserves the right to confiscate speakers if the above rules are not observed.
  • All visitors to BuitenLand are expected to refrain from causing any form of nuisance.
  • Loitering in the toilet blocks is not permitted, especially at night.
  • Parents are responsible for their children. If their children misbehave, it is up to the parents to address the issue.
  • Teenagers are not permitted to loiter on the campsite at night.
  • Any damage caused by visitors will be recovered from that visitor.
  • BuitenLand may immediately deny further accommodation to campers who cause nuisance or are guilty of other misconduct. No refund of accommodation costs or deposit will be made in such cases.

Terrein, afval, zwemmeertje, bos

  • Bezoekers van BuitenLand wordt geacht respectvol om te gaan met het terrein en de omliggende omgeving. 

  • Zorg dat het om je kampeerplek schoon is. Gebruik een gesloten afvalemmer en vuilniszakken. 

  • Men levert de kampeerplek of het huisje na bezoek schoon op, en deponeert vuil in de desbetreffende containers bij de ingang. 

  • Scheid het afval zoals aangegeven bij de vuilstraat bij de ingang. 

  • Het is ten strengste verboden tenten, elektrische apparaten of ander grof vuil in de restcontainers te deponeren of achter te laten. Bij constatering hiervan worden de kosten van het opruimen hiervan op de bezoeker verhaald. 

  • Kuilen graven op de velden is niet toegestaan.

  • Het is niet toegestaan hout uit het bos te halen. Dit is gebied van Staatsbosbeheer, waar BuitenLand en haar bezoekers gebruik van mogen maken. 

  • Ga met respect om met de omgeving van zwemmeer de Zandpol. Hou je ook hier aan de gestelde regels zoals geen honden meenemen, je vuilnis opruimen en met respect met elkaar omgaan. Ook is harde muziek niet toegestaan.

Terrain, waste, swimming lake, forest

  • Visitors to BuitenLand are expected to treat the terrain and surrounding area with respect. 
  • Ensure that your camping spot is clean. Use a closed waste bin and bin bags. 
  • Leave the camping spot or cottage clean after your visit and dispose of waste in the appropriate containers at the entrance. 
  • Separate waste as indicated at the waste collection point at the entrance. 
  • It is strictly forbidden to deposit or leave tents, electrical appliances or other bulky waste in the residual waste containers. If this is found, the costs of cleaning up will be recovered from the visitor. 
  • Digging holes in the fields is not permitted.
  • It is not permitted to take wood from the forest. This is an area managed by Staatsbosbeheer, which BuitenLand and its visitors are allowed to use. 
  • Please treat the surroundings of the Zandpol swimming lake with respect. Please also adhere to the rules set here, such as not bringing dogs, cleaning up your rubbish and treating each other with respect. Loud music is also not permitted.

Sanitary facilities

  • Everyone who uses the sanitary facilities is expected to keep them clean.
  • It is strictly forbidden to flush anything other than toilet paper. Tampons, sanitary towels and other items must be disposed of in the designated bins in the toilets to prevent serious blockages.
  • Children are not allowed to play in the sanitary facilities. Young people are also not allowed to hang around here, especially at night!
  • Children under the age of six must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the toilet facilities.
  • Please use water sparingly.
  • Do not throw wet toilet paper at the ceiling. If you are caught doing so, you will have to clean it up and spend two days helping the cleaning team.

Post and parcels

  • Post can be sent to BuitenLand. Visitors are responsible for collecting their post from reception.
  • Parcels are placed in the cupboard next to reception.
  • Always at your own risk.

Other 

  • It is not permitted to consume your own food and drink at the BuitenBar (both indoors and outdoors).
  • Please drink alcohol responsibly.
  • Theft, aggression, vandalism, drug use, offensive comments regarding race, religion, sexual orientation, or other undesirable or disrespectful behaviour will result in immediate removal from the campsite.
  • BuitenLand is not liable for the consequences of extreme weather conditions or other forms of force majeure.
  • Complaints addressed to BuitenLand must be submitted in writing (by email) by the visitor and will be dealt with fairly and reasonably. No refunds will be given on the spot. 
  • Submitting a complaint does not exempt the visitor from payment.
