BuitenBar

The BuitenBar is the beating heart of BuitenLand; the place where you read the newspaper, play a game, retreat with your laptop, but above all the place where you meet and embrace each other. We have a small but brave menu with always vegetarian options and very often fresh pizzas.

We organise activities on a regular basis: singer-songwriters and bands on stage, musical chairs for adults, or our legendary Pub Quiz. You can find the programme on our website.

Opening hours

The BuitenBar is open to everyone, including people who are not staying at BuitenLand!

Weekends and holidays
During weekends and holidays between April and September, we are open from early morning until late evening.

During the holidays
Fresh rolls and coffee from the hatch every morning from 8:00 to 10:00

Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight
Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. at the latest
Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Pizza from Wednesday to Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.

Outside of holidays
Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. (sometimes a bit later on Saturdays ;)

Pizza on Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Midweek outside of holidays
During this period, the BuitenBar is a pleasant lounge where you can enjoy a cup of tea, a beer, a toasted sandwich, and a bowl of soup.

Pizzas

Dirk, chef and craftsman, builds traditional brick ovens by hand. He did the same for Buitenland, with the agreement to train the team so that they could learn to bake in the traditional way. He succeeded, but Dirk never left. With a relaxed smile, he conveys his love for the profession to everyone. Dirk does not know the meaning of the word stress. He enjoys every moment, and you can taste it!

You can enjoy pizza every Saturday and during the holidays from Wednesday to Sunday.

This season, we have once again collected a mountain of delicious and fun products for you. New drinks such as Madame Gember from Roze Bunker, a wide range of mocktails and other non-alcoholic drinks, our trusted and new beers from Gulpener, as well as a versatile, fully organic wine list!

Vega, Vegan and Meat

At BuitenLand, the 'oat milk elite' is well represented, so we always have a generous supply of this white substance without cows. Meat also plays a supporting role on our menu. We take great care when purchasing animal products, for example from Woeste Grond, who produce meat free from additives that roams freely in the nature reserves of Drenthe. And of course, we have vegetarian bitterballen.

The croquettes made by Rien and Roby from Krokettenkunst are very popular. It is a small artisan factory where father and son indulge their passion for delicious flavours. They also make excellent vegetarian croquettes.
